Guys, I loved chatting with you on our recent FB/IG Live! If you missed it, you can rewatch it here. I touched on some thoughts about being a business owner, and some of my raw feelings and ups and downs involved in that. It’s always a journey, and it’s encouraging to know that many of you are on similar paths with the same roller-coaster emotions. Allowing each other (and ourselves) the grace to have both good and bad moments is something we need to work on; encourage each other and try not to tear each other down! This is why I often try to ignore the mainstream news; I feel like people can be so bitterly divisive and cruel, and I’d rather focus on encouraging and supporting each other. This is especially true when it comes to my fellow sisters in life. We have so much to do and accomplish and overcome…none of us are perfect by a long shot…but as long as we are all striving to do and be our best, let’s just work together to strengthen each other so we can all be better versions of ourselves!
I like what Mary Bennett recently posted in one of our discussions on the FB Insiders Group (tell me you’ve joined us in that group!!);
Joy IS contagious…but so is negativity! Bitterness and griping breeds more of the same; we can start to be grumpy and that spirals downward until we just become a person that we don’t want to see in the mirror. So we need to make a decision to CHOOSE JOY; spreading joy, radiating joy, teaching joy!
So I promised that I would share links to the books that I mentioned in the Live session, and here they are with links:
If You Only Knew by Jaime Ivey
An Intentional Life by Karen Stott
The Secret Lives of Wives by Iris Krasnow
The Road Back to You by Ian Cron
Revive by Dr. Frank Lipman (the smoothie recipes in his book are some of my favs!)
The Hard Thing About Hard Things by Ben Horowitz
I will try to post some follow-up blogs for these FB/IG Live sessions when I can, with links to things I discuss in the video, so stay tuned to this blog!
I hope you caught my brief ‘modeling’ demo of the Natalie in Bayou last night, too! This is my mom’s favorite hoodie style, and I can’t blame her since it fits so well and is such a great summer piece. It’s still on preorder price here so grab it soon!
