Welcome back to the always popular & fun Reece!
Once again, let’s review…
The Reece first appeared in late summer, early fall 2014. Designed as a basic from the beginning, the Reece came in our super lush fabric with little feminine ruffles on the shoulder, a fabulous ‘bum coverage’ high-low hem, deep front pockets, and thumbholes to help keep your hands warm. Originally available in Navy and Moss Green to easily coordinate with your fall/winter wardrobe pieces.
Funny trivia fact: the Reece was designed with Reese Witherspoon as an inspiration. She is always so put-together; feminine without being overly frilly (Elle Woods aside…ha…), she is a strong, classic and successful woman. But somehow between the design, manufacturing, and release, the name was misspelled as Reece instead of Reese. By the time we noticed it was too late to correct in our systems, so Reece it remains!
Such is life, friends…accept that we are all human and make the best of the little oops we make from time to time! Offer grace to others as freely as we hope to receive it.

Almost an entire year later, the Reece came back, and this time in an eye-popping, fun Sea Glass Blue and a bold Azalea! These Summer 2015 colors sold out at lightening speed and remain all-time favorite colors, paired with the classic design. If you were fortunate enough to grab one of these, hang on to it and enjoy! Amy is more of a neutral-color person in her own clothing palette, so it was extremely fun to see her surprise at the success of these bright colors.

Following up on these fun summer pieces, the Reece was slightly reinvented for Fall/Winter 2015. The style remained the same, but the light-weight summer fabric was exchanged for a toasty, fleece-brushed, soft and cozy thicker fabric. The warm Cranberry color was the perfect transition into the new cold-weather season.

The Reece made a fun comeback in Summer 2015; redesigned as a fun vest! We have so many much-loved and appreciated customers in areas that have high temperatures, and we always try to find a way to cater especially to them, as well as to anyone wanting to have cute pieces for the summer. This Reece Vest was perfect for those hot climates, to layer over tees or tanks…to wear from home, on a date, to the pool or ocean, or any of your favorite summer activities. We choose a deep green peacock color to compliment all those spring/summer bright and neutral colors and we included the classic front pockets, large hood and beefy drawstring.

Once again, to stay in step with the season, the Reece returned for Fall/Winter 2016, once again in the super super soft, fleece-brushed and stretchy fabric (like the Cranberry Reece). The Lipstick Red Reece for adults and children! Not your typical red, this was a sophisticated red to match that sassy red lipstick you love!
In addition to the Lipstick Reece for Women, Honey by Evy’s Tree presented the matching Reece, XXS – XL in kids sizes.
And now, our newest rendition of the Reece…meet Reece in Midnight!
We are pleased to bring you matching Reece in Midnight Black for any little girls in your life; sizes run from XXS (2) – XL (12-14).

What is the same? The Reece has always featured the simple, feminine shoulder ruffles, the figure-flattering high-low hem, deep front pockets, thumbholes, a hood and matching grosgrain drawstring and zipper pull. The Midnight Black Reece has all of these features, as well as the fleece-brushed interior.
What is different? The Midnight Black Reece is the same fit, fabric, and design as the Cranberry Reece from Fall/Winter 2015, with one exception; the middle ruffle on each side is a gorgeous black lace.
The Midnight Black Reece is true to size; as usual, it’s a personal preference if you’d like to size up or down. It is designed to be slightly loose to allow for simple layering. If you are between sizes and you’d like to wear this zipped, you may want to size up. Ladies with fuller busts who plan to wear this zipped at times may also want to size up. Ladies with long arms and/or long torsos should be fine in their usual sizes, as this design allows for extra length in these areas. All of the staff who tried on the Midnight Black Reece are electing to stay in their regular sizes.

For the children in Honey by Evy’s Tree sizes, keep in mind that the material is stretchy and they will be able to comfortably grow with their Reece. Sleeves can be turned up and the length is fine; for the smallest girls, the Reece looks darling as an almost-dress! We have seen little girls wear their Evy’s Tree hoodies for two-three cold seasons, when larger sizes are purchased.
