Ahhh Serenity Blue Nicole

Yes! To all the Nicole-lovers, your wish has been granted! Nicole is returning, this time in Serenity Blue, another one of the amazing 2016 Pantone colors!

Backing up a bit, let’s discuss the Nicole, shall we? The Nicole in Fog first appeared in our Fall/Winter 2015 line, and surprised us by becoming an instant hit. It sold out faster than anyone expected. Technically not a traditional ‘hoodie’ since it was a wrap/sweater style, it was designed as a versatile, luxe, super soft fog grey hoodie featuring a waterfall hem, patch pockets, a generous hood and an ever so subtle contrast between the body fabric and the rib. The grey was intended to make this work as a neutral wardrobe staple, and obviously it worked because our entire Fog Nicole inventory sold out! We heard of customers ordering a second, ‘back up’ piece once they realized how soft, comfy, and ‘liveable’ the Nicole was!

Once we saw how much our customers loved the Nicole, Amy knew it needed to return in our Spring 2016 collection. To counter the original neutral grey, for the new Nicole she decided to go with rich, bold Apricot – another popular Spring color. Again we had a best seller; many were owners of the original Fog Nicole while many had missed out on the Fog and had been anxiously awaiting a new Nicole!

And so once again, Nicole is back…this time in Serenity Blue!

What is the same?

The Nicole in Serenity Blue has the same luxe, uber soft, slightly stretchy material, the same ribbed cuffs and border, the same pockets, hood, and the same gorgeous waterfall hem design that is designed to be flattering for any body type.

What is different?

The Nicole Fog was a fall/winter release and was fleece-brushed on the inside for extra warmth. These spring/summer Nicoles do not have that fleecy lining. The Serenity Blue is slightly stretchier than the Apricot, but otherwise is exactly the same as the Apricot Nicole.

The Nicole is true to size and very forgiving since it is does not have a zippered closure. If you’d like a closer fit or prefer a slightly shorter piece, sizing down might be right for you. If you’d like the slight extra length stay with your normal size. Sizing up might not be the best idea; this is made to work with layers and hang loosely and might be too big if you size up. For more sizing tips please refer to the sizing chart in the listing on our site.

Stephanie in an XS (pardon us as we pause in admiration for her ‘just had a baby’ figure!)

Christie in size Medium

Harmony sized down from her usual XL to size Large; this is a personal preference and she likes a slightly more fitted feel.
