The Emily is a classic, versatile, easy fit pullover with an elegant drapey cowl–neck collar. We’ve added a fun grosgrain ribbon in the collar that will allow for more versatility: ruche it, cinch it, pull it off the shoulder, or pull over your head as a hood. The super soft green and white-flecked marled yarns make this fabric super soft and comfy. Add in the shirt tail hemline with a hi/low effect and you have the ultimate addition to your wardrobe. The Emily can take you from the office, to date night, to pajamas seamlessly while still looking super chic and pulled together. Wear with leggings, jeans, trousers, skirts, yoga pants…. The options are endless. We love The Emily and know you will too!
The Emily in Kale is roughly true to size; designed to be a loose fit to allow for layering. If you prefer a slim or more fitted look, stay in your normal size. If you prefer a more loose, flowy look, size up. Sizing down is not recommended if you have curvy arms or shoulders, as the sleeves would probably feel too tight in the forearms. Ladies with longer torsos should feel fine in their normal size since this is a longer design, but sizing up would provide a couple of extra inches for length. Ladies with curves will probably want to size up to reduce any ‘clinging’ effect around the abdomen. Most of the ET ladies who tried on the Emily in Kale elected to go up one size.
The Emily features the much-loved ‘hi-lo’ hem (also a feature on the Reece designs) because what woman doesn’t appreciate extra bum coverage? The collar can quickly switch from having a loose, scarf-like appearance, to a classic cowl neck design, then to a faux hood, or to a chic, completely off the shoulder look.
The Emily in Black Pepper is a soft, Poly/Rayon/Spandex fabric, single-layer and with shallow ribbing. Slightly stretchy and with tapering sleeves, it has finished edges and does not have zippers, buttons, snaps, or hard wear of any kind.
